Hello to all in Vacationland... starting a small herd in the hills of Maine so to speak... besides the indoor menagerie of dogs, cat and parrots... we share our outdoor space with goats and soon to be adding (picking up tomorrow) rabbits, geese and chickens! Our homestead is growing! I also have started an aquaponics system where I hope to not only raise our fruit and vegetables but fish too! I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how. Greeting to other Mainers and beyond!
Hello to my Maine neighbors! New to this site so can't yet post personal info but I live in the Waterville area, have six acres and am easing my way into the country life (transplant from CT in 2011) with one dog and five chickens, none of which are laying yet. My plans down the road include having a horse and raising a pig and steer for meat. I'm particularly interested in mini cattle so if anyone on here is familiar with them or knows of a farm in the area that raises minis, I'd love to connect.

I just found this thread, I am in Central Maine! And I now Stano from BYC, well, sort of, in a round about way!
