Not a good start to the weekend. Cassandra stepped on a scrap board with nails in it. They went right thru her boot getting her in ball of foot and big toe. ER trip to confirm no bone or tendon damage. She lucked out and didn't recieve another tetnus shot since she had one 2 years ago.

The homeowners insurance has decided the floor damage is not covered. Their excuse is it is because of improper selection/ installation which is excluded. Recommended we go back after the installer, great.

Sheep managed to knock loose divider in sheep shed. Taking it as sign it's time to redo the feeders. I need to make two feed troughs.

Poor Cassandra! Glad it wasn’t any worse, but she is going to hurt for awhile.
Lousy insurance company. I’m not fond of them at all. But you gotta have them, one major damage incident and you are glad to get it fixed. In this instance, the installation crew and insurance are bouncing you around like a ball. Not right.

Might be worth a call to a lawyer, if you have one you have used and get along with... and see if an official "lawyer letter" can get the installation company to realize you are serious. Don't know about the cost of the lawyer compared to cost of damage/replacement... or the lawyer could call/write the ins co and push them to go after the installation company??? Lawyers aren't cheap I know....but sometimes they can shake things up enough with a few well placed "suggestions (threats) " of further action to resolve some things...

Would be worth checking out cost of lawyer. If you have to go after someone for the damages the complaint will request reimbursement for lawyers' fees and costs of suit. Even a letter sometimes will encourage the companies to shell out for the damage since they will then be able to go after the installers themselves.

Bummer about Cassandra's foot. Lucky her tetanus shots are up to date. Those suckers are painful!
