Okay, I understand what you said. That is the problem with all these "mini-estates" now... not enough safe ways to dispose of problems because of limited directions you can safely shoot. It may seem cruel, but there are snares that they use for coyotes that "slip through" gaps like under the fence.... if the dogs are threatening their kids, then they might be an option....

Fence woes. I get it. We spent time and money on the fence in Lindale. Then what happened? An armadillo dug under it and created a super highway for rabbits, a black long haired cat, Fox, possum, and at least 1 coyote. Fill the hole, armadillo dug it back out. Fill and block, it moved down and dug another hole.

Armadillos sound like pesky little creatures. At least they don't eat your chickens or sheep.

They are pretty harmless. They root around for grubs and such. When I was a kid, I chased them, rarely caught one. They are FAST!

Today has been a complete disaster. Slept thru first alarm and got up late at 6:30 after insomnia kept me up till midnight.Got kids to school on time but I was still in PJs. Then husband left main gate open when he left for doctor apt. Bruno chased the black and tan dog off again. I had to get lease and retrieve him.

Dominic opened door letting Bruno out of house while I was moving sheep from pen to new electric fence paddock via bribery. He decided they needed to back in night pen. Chaos.

Things were just seting down when the black & white dog comes back and snips at Dominic. It got a shovel javelined to side and left. I took Dominic inside and looked on FB while waiting on husband. I see a neighbor is posting about putting out food for the "poor puppies". F it, I called sheriffs to report today and yesterday's incidents. Bruno did perfect when deputy showed up. He paused halfway to fence barking alert, then came to me when I said "SHOW ME!", turned and barked again, then let me put him inside. I talked to deputy emphasizing that I called because previously they came by thinking problem dog was Bruno. Was able to point out the 2 dogs while Bruno was inside.

I got to work at noon. Just in time for a 4 hour meeting. I then stayed an extra half hour attempting to make some progress on inbox.

Get home and a ZOOM meeting with Cassandra's new tutor. She can help Cassandra understand and catch up. Eldest HAD to help cook dinner and managed to burn the meaty mac and cheese. I finally got the kids to bed then went to feed the sheep. My autowater cracked from our overnight freeze. Not a huge deal, I turned it off and went to get a spare bucket. Stepped in hole and fell twisting my left ankle bad. Had the have hubby come out to help finish watering sheep and aid me to hobble inside. Currently icing ankle. Tomorrow is going to be fun since Bruno ate my ankle brace and I'm out of KT tape.

Can I get a do over?

The bright spot in the day is the deputy saw the “bad” dogs and saw Bruno being the GOOD dog. Can they do anything about the two strays? Especially since one tried to bite your child!

I am sorry about the twisted ankle, nothing to chuckle about there, just the crap icing on a crap cake, that nobody wants. I hope it heals up soon. I use Arnicare rub cream for ouchies like that. Amazing stuff. Walmart carries the Arnicare gel, but I like the cream better so I order it. Great for pain. Used it and Arnicare pills for years on my knee. It helped. Lasts 3-4 hours. Send your hubby to Walmart, I think maybe Walgreens carries it too. Check online and see.

Sheriff won't do anything but I knew that when I called. I called because Feb 2nd they came out because the bad black & white dog was reported entering my property after attacking a jogger. I wanted official record that the dog in question was NOT Bruno. I'm sure someone is going to end up bit. I don't want them blaming Bruno.
