Explain all the marks with the collar....does this show his movement? Around here the hunt dogs have tracker collars....similar? I'm dogless now, so not keeping up.

Pics of Bruno look rottie....is he a mix or?

Bruno is a rottie / heeler mix. Tractive is a Bluetooth / wifi / cellular /GPS collar system that is recommended for livestock guardian dogs. The blue line is his path. The more "pings" collar gets in area the shading goes from green to red. So he's mostly staying in the home acre with 4 excursions outside.

I want to get the home acre fence tight before getting LGD or letting puppy Biscuit free roam yard.

Does the tracker thing do an accurate distance traveled measurement?? I kind of looked around for a collar that would do that - mostly for curiosity of how far my guys travel when we are out grazing. That back and forth be a fence thing has got to put on some serious mileage I would think. The reviews on what I looked at were good for locating a dog, but not good for total distance travelled.

Were those at your place? We don't hear any coyotes in Yantis (yet), but here in Shadow Hills they sound like that almost every night. The Animal Control people can't trap them, and nobody shoots them since we are in town. That is why we have 3 Anatolians for 6 acres! We need another Anatolian though because Rika is really showing her age. :(
