I weaned Big Twin today at 7weeks. He was trying to mount the baby ewe, Socks. I'm not sure how much he actually weighs. The scale said 43.5lbs with a back leg still touching. He does not like handling AT ALL which is fine.

I never did a 2022 Review post so here it is! I seem to be on a 3x geometric progression. When will it stop... Sheep Math

2022 Review
I grew from 1 to 3 adult ewes.

• Lambs:
  • Born 3 rams from Aria!
  • Sold 3 rams
• Adult sheep
  • Purchased Dash and Pepper commercial ewes
  • Purchased Mocha registered ewe
  • Sold Snip commercial ram
  • Pepper died

Sheep math. It’s always in motion.

I wean ram lambs at 8 weeks. Some are busy practicing their macho manliness a couple of weeks before that, but as a rule, are not yet fertile. Most of the time. Give a few more weeks and you get oops lambs.

I came home to Big Twin out grazing with mama. Not sure how he did it...

We are still really flooded going into this cold snap. The pond is twice as wide as normal. The first 15 seconds is all the extra water. I'm standing on the north pond berm...
