For H braces you want 8’ long with 7” tops. The cross brace can be 6 1/2 feet long and 5” top.

The only drawback is you have to buy by the bundle, so bigger cash outlay than just buying a few at TSC. Plus hauling them. It may be something to keep in mind for the future.

When you put up fence, do you have a fence stretcher? If you don’t, I do. I’m betting that you don’t have anything to anchor to, in order to stretch the wire tight.

I’m volunteering myself to come spend a weekend to help you stretch fence. I can load up my tractor, bring come along and tools. If you could take off a Friday or Monday, we could make it 3 days. We could get a lot done and get you further towards your goals.

Great offer! And you will have fun together. Do it now during cooler weather too. While ground is soft you can drive posts easier too. (Save money by not having to dynamite post holes! )

When stretching fence remember to stretch from center of span according to the fencing guys. Anchor the center well, then you can put a lot of tension on each side and get it really tight. My fence guys taught me that.

20-30 in a bundle all according to size of posts... Most of the bundles DS got 2 years ago are about 25 to a bundle...and they don't "go bad" if you keep them off the wet ground so can store for the next project... it is just the initial outlay all at once... But hey, if they are half the price, you will get 20 for what you buy 10 for at the other place so worth it...

Today was a mix of good and bad. The good part was kids Pinewood Derby with Scouts. Everyone had fun. Dominic won 1st place of the 3 Lions competing. Cassandra was 3rd out of ~10 Wolfs. Alexander didn't place but the Arrows of Light class was enormous.

The bad... Dottie lost her ewe lamb as I posted in emergency forum. The lamb was huge 13.82lbs! Presented mostly correct but an elbow got wedged. Baby was long gone but time I found Dottie. Hopefully the meds I gave will let Dottie recover swiftly.

So this morning Shy Lady had twins! White ram and brown ewe!! They were still damp so just born around dawn. She is doing great. Kids were almost late to Sunday School because of me...
