I'm milking 2 goats right now. 8:30am and 8:30pm (more or less)seem to fit our schedule. Of course anytime I go into the barn my mini nubian bawls to me thinking it's milking (grain!) time. For your schedule why not leave the babies with moms and seperate for a few hours after you get home, milk later in eve. You won't get as much milk but your Mama's will be comfortable. Someone with more experience than I would need to tell you what to do when you wean the babies and I bet once a day then may not work. My goats are really full at both milkings, they milk a bit over a quart each at each milking at this point (less than a week fresh and about 2 weeks fresh).
