Simple, no....just fed 2 bottle babes. Trouble would not get from around my legs. I put her butt in a stall. Ya see, while checking noses, found 3 just born kids & she was in middle of my handling that. Geesh, it's 32 ... Dropping to 25. Momma doe wasn't gonna move at night. In back corner of shed, so I rushed some dry, deep hay type bedding onto that wetness, put some cardboard along one corner to block any possible breeze. Hung a battery light for her to handle dryoffs. She was talking to them & answering their whimpers. So, just came in for a few min to let her attach to them & clean. I'll be in/out for next couple hrs.....damn cold night! Hate to have to remove them now, she won't bond & I'd have 3 more to bottle 😵‍💫 update tomorrow.

Small, weak babies. Brought inside to warm, etc. Down to twins, smallest didn't make it. Hot water bottles, wraps and all. Couple hrs later, two took some milk, curled up and went to sleep. We all got 3 hrs. Then a little more milk, they're back asleep now. Need to get colostrum for them. Hope Mom cooperates. Hope I can get them back to/with her.

:celebrate :celebratetook them out & set in front of Mom who was still in "their" corner....she smelled, talked, licked & I left quietly. Didn't feed herd as I didn't want all others moving much to disrupt. Fed 2 bottle kids, went back and mom had them nursing!!!! Yes. 😄👏

Thinking it'll be ok. I purposely did not dry them off last night, air dried so her scent was on them. Not old enough to process the amount of milk I gave them yet -- they still smelled "hers". I'll watch but believe they will be fine. At least, colostrum fed.

Mid afternoon...she's aware there are 2 and keeping track of them. Took them into sunshine, they are having a family nap. The smaller is a boy & not the brightest but, she pushed him under & back until he successfully nursed. The girl, on it!! No slacking there. Both are hoping around & answering to Mom. :clap colder tonight but, bedded by mom they'll be ok. There are piles of goats together each night.

I wander around watching for activity from kids, nursing, etc. Making sure activity shows they're all eating. They are handling this cold weather better than me. :old Glad my slack work weeks and kidding coincided this yr. March babes are great but, my workload is heavier. Makes extra help harder on me.
