They have a good book selection, this is the pasture section.

I have Grass, the Forgiveness of Nature and Fertility Pastures that I found to be full of good information. They had a book sale last year and I bought over 25 books--and wish I had more! LOL

We have 8 acres, partly wooded, and have sheep, chickens, horses (a hole in your pocket that you dump money in) currently 4 feeder hogs and 4 dogs. I am trying to develop good pasture, but we are on sand, like going to the beach without the ocean. So it sounds like I am on sorta the same journey that you are, maybe we can compare notes to see what works and what doesn't.

Hi MO,
Nice to meet you. I am also in Missouri, and am just starting my little homestead. What part of the state are you in? I am in NW MO, north of KC. I have my first dairy goat doe, she is an alpine ff, and a couple of other goats on loan from my sister to keep her company. I have lf BBS Cochins and lavender Orpingtons. We are currently in the process of putting in pasture fences. Once we have fence and a run in I plan to get a couple of horses. Currently my focus is on growing more of my own food so I can control the quality. I am also planning to grow my own hay, the neighbor down the road bales everything in my neighborhood. I will be eager to hear how growing your own feed grains goes.

Hey there! I am north of Springfield...its been a busy few weeks, hence the delay in my reply! Everything is hatching, being born, being planted or needing moved around lately it seems!
