I stopped at the local nursery on the way home from church, bought six blueberry plants, then stopped by Ace Hardware and bought a wire brush to use on the hoop coop tin roof:

:thumbsup

And when I arrived home I saw that the rest of my coop purchases had arrived: hasps, zip-ties, fender washers, and cups for the chicken waterer!

I have everything I should need, no more delays...except for weather.

Better than nothing, but not good enough. That wire wheel will be spinning at high speed, throwing rust, scale, dirt and metal particles. Possibly a loose wire or two. All of that can fly up in your face and get behind those glasses. Goggles fit snugly on your face to prevent particles from getting to your eyes.

Safety glasses plus a face shield would be ok, but you probably don’t have one. More than likely buying safety goggles would be cheaper than buying a face shield.

No face shield? A mask/bandana is better than nothing. :)
Got to be able to see. My issue with safety glasses is with using a wire wheel on a drill, high speed flinging rust and metal particles everywhere. Safety glasses are not sealed against the face. Used with a face shield, safety glasses would be ok.

In the name of safety, either buy goggles or a face shield to cover over the safety glasses.
