My daughter started in 4H a couple years ago. We started off with a buck mini lop, then got a doe a year later, then had babies, kept 1, and traded 1 for a Holland lop. Wanted a buck Holland because it would be next to the buck mini lop, separated by a wooden divider. Well surprise, surprise we got a doe Holland and the two chewed the divider and have been "bonding".

My question is will having kits hurt the Holland? The mini lop is about 2 sizes bigger then her. Also if everything is going to be fine, then are the kits just mutts? Also they are both broken in color one blue and the other is black.

:welcome Some size difference shouldn't be too serious depending on how many she has. I hope you've separated them and have marked the date she was bred so you will be on hand if something does go wrong.
They would be Mini/Holland Lop crosses.
Are you sure she is a she? Something to check out since males will "bond" with other males to establish dominance. Just a thought :)

Yes she is a she. We marked the last week of May as when she could have become pregnant, as we found her climbing back and forth from her cage to his. This would make her due the week of our 4H fair. So unsure if we should take her to the fair or not. The only reason why I am leaning to taking her is if she has any problems both our rabbit leaders will be there as well as many other more experienced rabbit breeders.

personally if she was ours, we would not move her as the stress might be to much for her that close to having kits. She would probably be most comfortable in familiar surroundings. Good Luck!
