You could breed pot bellies first as they are smaller... However from a personal standpoint I have seen the over breeding of these animals and subsequent neglect as they get bigger and often, less friendly. Like the above comment states, pot bellies are not good for eating! There is a pot belly rescue in my town and I've heard lots and lots of stories. If you wanted to start small, I would go with Guinea hogs. They're lard pigs but more edible than pot bellies! I've never eaten one but lots of people swear by them.
