Any drugs/antibiotics produced and packaged and in inventory already at stores can be sold. It is anything that is produced and labeled after the final set of rules went into effect that cannot be sold without the vet rx.
Yeah, go figure...
If you think you are going to need it in the future... grab it now. Meds like that will keep for several years after the "best used by date" if they are sealed and kept in optimal conditions... like in the box in a dark, cool, dry place...unless it needs to be refrigerated. They have shorter shelf lives... but still will be nearly as effective after the date. The companies put that on them to cover their own liabilities.
