Exploring the pasture
Hello! I'm brand new to this farm life style but I am so ready for a change in my life. Me and my husband are in the process of buying land and a few animals to starts us on or journey to a sustainable, utility, homesteading life. We traveled and have spent time wwoofing (world wide opportunities for organic farmers) so we slightly know what to expect, but every day brings a new learning experience right?
We plan on starting with a couple of goats and a handful of chickens, then work our way up to having a farm full of livestock: pig, sheep, goats, chicken, geese, ducks, turkey, and rabbits. Though I know to start small and not bite off more than I can chew!
Right now we are trying to find the property we want so I'm spending all my extra time reading about goats, and chickens to at lease prepare me book smart wise. :/ (I'm the planner my husband is the do'er)
Wish us luck!
