Son and I have beef cattle, a cow/calf operation; I work with dairy farmers and have some jersey and jer x nurse cows, raise calves, have chickens and have had most other breeds of animals over the years. I Just bought a house on 2 acres, (tired of renting) that is right close to a couple of the pastures we lease and the not too far from the place we call the main farm. We make alot of hay and sell the calves off the cow/calf operation as feeder cattle in the 4-500 lb range.
