Hi everyone. My family is relocating to Murfreesboro in about a month and I just wanted to introduce myself. I have several questions, but to begin with does anyone know the codes for in the city limits? I am wanting to have a few chickens, 1 nigi dwarf and 1 mini pony. We will have .4 of an acre. I planned on building 1 barn for the goat and pony to share then have a portable coop that goes in the barn at night. I do know I will have to supplement the goat and horse with hay. We are looking at the goat for milk, chickens for eggs, and the pony is both a pet and guide pony. I just don't know what the zoning laws are and I haven't found them anywhere. We won't have a rooster to crow just the hens. Anyway, would love to meet other peeps in the Boro and if anyone has answers give me a yell.

Fourth the welcome and third the advice to get 2 goats!

Have you called the town/city hall and asked for the planning and zoning department? They might be able to help you out there.

:welcome And if you want the goat for milk, one of those two goats is going to have to be a buck unless you have someone with a buck you can use. :hide

I was thinking that the nigi and the pony(not bigger than 36in) would keep each other company and would of course of human contact everyday. Has anyone done this or...? I know both are herd animals. I also wondered if anyone has ever done green roofing?
