I injured mine as a teenager in a bad fall off a horse (cuz there are good ones?) and for years it plagued me if I bent over or picked something up ( whoa! I actually used to be able to do that 😮). Then one night I borrowed my ex husband’s tooth jarring neck snapping excuse of a horse to team rope on, he popped me in the air coming out of the header’s box and when I landed back in the saddle it snapped my tailbone so hard people heard it and I screamed, but never had another problem with it, until now. Guess that crowbait should’ve been a chiropractor :ep

I sure hope I get my silver halter back too, but I dont want it to cost me my friendship with the b$&tch’s mom. I hate being misused. I feel like I have “doormat” tattoed on my forehead

It’s pretty amazing how few pellets the rabbits are eating now while I am supplementing with wheatgrass and stuff from around the yard or kitchen! They apparently don’t like summer squash as much as I do…
VERY loud thunder popped directly overhead and scared the bejeesus out of Fen. He’s now hiding in my bed wanting me to read him a story…

Hoping I can get an LGD SOON. Doesn’t look like my friend is going to come through.
Then we can think about more sheeple. I miss my Dorpers something awful.

Do you want black head Dorpers or white Dorpers?
Haha, I have a friend that can’t pronounce the r and calls them Dopers.

Fen is such a pretty dog, plus he adds comedy to your life on a daily basis.
I like the black headed ones. But until I have a livestock guardian there’s no arguing for sheeple with TheMan. The cougars will just get them

Several years back we had a cougar that started prowling around the houses in broad daylight for about 3 months. The cowboss at the time had 23 dogs chained up behind the big house (I hated that guy!) The cat would walk just a couple of feet out of reach of all these barking dogs, unbothered. He passed in front of the cowboys while they were moving cows, State trapper couldn’t trap him or tree him. My Maremmas were behind a 3’ fence with their sheep (wearing radio collars. Even 6’ won’t hold most LGD) They never barked. They just watched him, which made me curious because they are vocal dogs. The cougar never tried to jump in with my sheep.
Finally, I asked the boss to get rid of all the trappers because there were now 3 guys trying to trap him. I promised my dogs would run it off or kill it. When it was finally safe, I saw him in the draw across from our house and let them loose. He ran past the barn. They chased after him. They were only gone about an hour or so and came home without blood or injury so I guess they scared him because we never saw him again.
He was used to cowdogs that bark then run, wasn’t ready for big dogs that would never back down.
They had 3-4 encounters with cougars that we know about, and never had to physically engage with one. These cats aren’t stupid. They don’t want to get hurt
