Really will only know for sure after they check the tissue 🥴. But generally, the surgeons have a good ideal as they're removing it. Are they freezing it or a scalpel trip?
Scalpel. It was there for years, and still pretty big when they biopsied it. She was surprised a few weeks ago at how much it had reduced. It will be interesting to see if the Ivermectin worked below the surface or not.

In a MOHS surgery, the derm will take it out, and then will look for clean margins - those edges that don't have cancer cells. If its not clean, then they will go in again and cut some more. I hope they are successful the first time and you don't have to stay there for hours on end.
Thanks for the information

I am exhausted. Fed rabids, got harvested rabids in vacuum bags and into freezer. It rained last night and Boone decided to run through the mud then tromp it all over my clean floors and rugs and then climb in the BED! So I’ve been doing laundry, changing sheets, etc. Boone has been super needy and wanted a lot of attention today. He’s going to have to stay home tomorrow as he can’t handle a 2-4 hr surgery. Heath is the only dog Ive had that could. He waited in the hospital many times after hip/knee/lung surgeries and was always there for me in the recovery room. Fennie can probably manage it because he can run around with Randy, so I need to get him ready to go. They have both been running through the mud all day.
Boone will be sad but he’s survived it before, although I can’t say the yard did. I lock him out of the house because there is too much mischief for him to get into if he’s unsupervised that long.
I thought about giving Fen a bath but he will be running through the pasture with Boone while we do chores so it seems pointless…

Done. They found no other cancer cells so I just have to take the stitches out in a couple weeks. I have bo idea if there were still cancer cells where it was originally. They used the picture they took previously so they knew where to cut.
I knew Boone would not be able to handle the time in office, and can’t leave him in truck (because he eats it) so Fen came along.

It was a long day. We have to go back to town on Thursday for Randy.
I have another UTI. Trying to figure out how to get Rx for it as I can’t get into Burns and they won’t prescribe w/o a sample. I’m so tired of all this. I just can’t…

They finally called on Randy’s phone. Now if I can get through to “pharmacy” to get them to mail the Rx, I can look forward to finally treating this by the weekend or early next week. Wish I could go back home, living here keeps getting harder and less manageable all the time. Ugh. “BOONE! Your person needs you, she’s losing her sh!t again!”

Well that is great news about the cancer cells!!! WTG that should be a great reassurance :). You'll be with Boone soon and if you are just reach down and touch that wonderdog, he'll grin at you.
You can also get Rx from https://allfamilypharma.com/ they have their own Drs, you just fill out a simple questionnaire and you're all set. It's all mail order and they are prompt.
