“You can try dry brushing to deal with phantom / wonky nerve signals.”
I am gonna have to look that up. Had my first knee replaced in 2009, I think and second in 2015. Kneeling is terribly painful, even with a foam pillow under my knees. I got enough to deal with without kneeling but it would sure be handy!

I can't kneel since I shattered my Patella in 2010. Reconstructed it and was in a wheelchair for 3 months. The reconstruction is now wearing out and at some point, I'll have to have a new knee. I look like a giraffe getting up from the floor.
With my new knee and my “good” born with knee, I can’t describe how I get off the floor. Somehow I have both feet on the floor, both hands, butt in the air, and I stand up from there. 😂

The thing is, it is not the joints so much as the super sensitivity of the nerves in the skin on the knees.
I can kneel on my knee replacement. It is more comfortable to kneel on a foam pad, but I spent several hours on my knees laying the vinyl stripping in the area where I removed the shelving unit in the office closet. I didn't use the kneeling pad, just knelt on the floor. Sometimes it hurts more than other times but I can kneel in the barn to pull lambs, and do other things. DH can't kneel at all. I don;t know if I will be able to kneel down when i have the other knee done with a partial. Partial knee replacements are easier since they don't cut all the tendons and ligaments.

Each person is different so you might be able to kneel.

It is the getting up that is hard. Sometimes it is easier to get up on one leg, sometimes the other. And I look like a beached whale floundering around.

Wes just emailed me a list of ewes he is selling. Wonderful bloodlines, some of his best older ewes, and a good selection of fall '22 and spring '23 lambs. Prices are lower than I expected they would be for the quality but he is getting out of Purebred and has decided to concentrate on Fullblood. After loking up the pedigrees and a long phone discussion about typing on size, shed, and pigment, I bought 2 mature ewes and 3 spring lambs. He told me that he had a ram lamb get in with the ewelings several months ago and it looks like a couple of the ewelings might be pregnant! I might be getting a 2 for 1 deal on a couple of them. LOL He said he will lamb them out for me since it is still flooded up there and at least one is bagging up. They are over a year old so not a big problem and are nice growthy ewelings. The older ewes have just finished weaning their lambs and are a little thin so need to be fed up before breeding again. I will be breeding the Fall yearlings after getting to Texas so those mature ewes can go in with that group. They will lamb in October.

Wes is also looking through his ram lambs to see what will do well for me. He has some embryo lambs that he said look very good. One in particular is outstanding. I counted up the cash I have been hoarding for the past 3 years and have just enough to buy the ewes. DH said he would spring for the ram. :love My hero! If Wes has a nice junior ram, I might be able to pick him up as well. Moyboy is not getting any younger and I have a lot of his daughters so probably time to change out rams. Lewis won't be making the trip to Texas with us so . . . .
