That’s right! I’ll have to give it a shot. It’s the black liquid stuff that smells like licorice if I remember correctly. Been over 40 yrs since I last used it. Thanks for the reminderHunting peope use something they paint onto the dog's pads to toughen them up and provide a sort of second skin. Found it on line - it is Tuf-Foot from Gun Dog Supply, $14.99 a bottle. You paint it on the pads and it toughens the skin as well as being somewhat antibiotic. I don't know if this is the same thing we used, but it should help.
