I've got a NZW doe that I initially had trouble getting to breed. I asked around and got some dark leaf lettuce and black oil sunflower seeds for a dietary supplement. It worked and she seemed to be receptive. The buck grunted and fell over, the whole nine yards. I repeated the process a couple times that day. 34 days later there are no kits, I've bred rabbits before and never had this problem.
Any idea what's wrong?

Can you try with a different buck?
I was thinking it was the buck too....is he proven? It could be a lot of different things. Have you bred this particular doe before?

I haven't, I bought her and a buck about the same age ( 6 months) as her in early Nov. to breed for meat. They were meant as a project for my little brothers to go along with my Silver Foxes.

Breed them again. Sometimes it happens. When you have good stock, it happens less often. But it still happens, especially on new stock. Also learn to palpate at 10 to 14 days so you can save yourself a couple weeks and get them re-bred if necessary.
