Ok. So Tuesday I caught my "coughing" ewe and her 2 lambs and got them dewormed with inj. ivomectrin plus. I notice she had a "droopy" jaw at this time which reduced by the next day. No hardness but was thinking it was possibly bottle jaw? Her eyelids were slightly less pink than my others and over all she acts ok. So with all these symptoms I've confined her, took her lambs off to be weaned ( theyre 10 weeks anyways) and been giving her some TLC, extra hay and corn so she hopefully gets her body back in condition (taking care against mastitis since lambs are being weaned). I need to run to the store and get more needles to finish worming EVERYONE. But I saw some reccomendations of giving the symptomatic/possible anemic sheep more wormer? As often as every other day? I've not heard her cough since. BTW she's a blackbelly ewe but not sure that matters at all.
So what do I need to do now? Worm her again? (am planning a fecal in 3-4 weeks via a vet)
Will my chickens help reduce chances of reinfection if I allow them access to their pens?
They're on a dry lot most of the day but have had some access to a small paddock of grass, she's been confined since the wormer.
I have 2 lambs that are only 3 weeks, I assume I need to wait to deworm them right?
If she's not showing other signs of anemia is red cell or other vitamins a good idea?

Thank you!

I would worm her again! If you still havent noticed any inmprovement in the runny manure in 2ish days I would treat her water with Tetracycline powder, or Oxytetracycline powder. Follow the directions on the package. I get mine from the vet. That is what it is called in Canada, it may go by another name over there!
Good luck!!!

I apologize!!! For some reason I could have sworn you mentioned the runny manure! Sorry!
My sheep get lung worms fairly often, which involves coughing, and if not treated for awhile, bottle-jaw, weight loss, and no runs!!! It is a possibilty that is the problem. If so Ivomectin is a good choice of wormer.
If you are getting fecal in a few weeks, I would probably hold off on the second dose of wormer. If the others arn't showing any symptoms, I wouldn't worm them till after the fecal so you know exactly what you are dealing with! Just my opinion, but it is up to you!
I don't think chickens will make much difference on the chance of reinfection because it is the eggs that reinfect.

Yep they sure did! Not really snotty and drippy, just enough that ya could see it and it would cause the crustys around the outside edge of the nostrils.
