I bought another large jar of animal crackers to try again with my ewes. Downside is they look at me like I am offering them Snow White's poisoned apple when I try to give them a treat. Upside is granddaughter Annabel loves those animal crackers so they won't be wasted. DD2 and family are coming over this weekend so Annabelcan see the lambs. :)

Scatter animal crackers over their feed. They will eat them, then decide they like them and beg for more.

We have been going out and just hanging with the sheep to make sure the lambs are people neutral, and it usually works really well, Teresa isn't happy about it but our ewe numbers are going to go up quite a bit this year as there are several ewe lambs that I'm not about to sell to someone else. We had several that I thought about keeping last season but I knew we had another season to save some of Oshi's gene pool and I am going to do that this time.

When we used to lamb out in the field we had to make sure to ear tag the lambs within two days or you couldn't catch them. When we lamb around the handling stall, the lambs are tame within a couple of days because they watch their Mamas getting all of those crackers. :)

We brought the ewes in this morning since a few of them needed worming. Other than that, it was a quiet day other than getting messed up on the web site trying to get my tax papers from the Navy. Evidently some of my login data got corrupted so I had to do the temporary password routine. I did the login then requested a temporary pin which was supposed to be sent to my phone but it never came so I did the call-in and arranged for a call back. There must be a lot of attempted scams going on because the lady got all of my info then told me she was going to ask me a question and that I shouldn't answer it if I wasn't 100% sure that it correct. She asked me the question that I didn't have the answer for but she waited until I got to my Navy paperwork to get the answer. The question was from over 30 years ago and I told the lady that I can't remember what I had for supper yesterday and you ask me something from 30 years ago.
