I think Teresa has finally accepted my preferred pre bedtime snack since she hasn't commented in a long time when I got it. For most of my adult life, I like a little bit of cottage cheese, a couple of maraschino cherries with a bit of juice and an olive. That has evolved a bit as for the last year or so, I have changed the olive to garlic stuffed olives. :) The only time that wasn't my snack was when I was on sea duty and there is no such thing as a bedtime snack since what our job entailed was after sundown or when there was limited visibility. :)

We have been getting our raised beds ready to transplant some of the garden starts. There are still a few cold mornings but as a rule, May 1st is a safe planting date here.

The eight ewe lambs have become easy to handle but I think we are going to cull at least three of them plus
a couple of the senior ewes. One of my favorite ewes has required worming 4 times in the last 4 months and most of the others have needed nothing so she has to go.

I’m still looking at empty tubs, need to go find some compost, fill them up and plant something.

Too bad about your favorite ewe. I just completed testing all mine, except the 3 weaned ewe lambs. I’m pleased with the results. Oh, didn’t get a sample on Ewenique, original ewe, she fights like a demon in the chute and gets anal retentive whenever I’m around and won’t even poop on the ground for me to pick up. She’s a butt hoarder pooper keeper. She’s never wormy, but I still want a fecal on her.

We just spent awhile listening to some excited Grandsons. They flew out to Reno yesterday to spend a week with our daughter and her husband. Both of them are in management at Tesla and rarely take any time off but they were wanting to see the boys bad enough that they are taking off a few days. They had the boys out snow boarding for a good bit today and they have a full schedule for the next few days.

We haven't had any surprise lambs for the last couple of weeks so hopefully any additional lambs will be from Oshi. Now that he has plenty of ewes to keep him busy he is actually seeming more like the ewes. He still wants his share of crackers but I make it a point to have my Oshi nose knocker with me when I go in.
