I have had to use the water hose to keep the sheep away from the gate when I open it to let them get to their morning feed. I'm pretty stout but I'm no match for 70 sheep that have no fear of me. There is one lamb that will charge the gate and ignore the water hose to get in to the feed. I haven't been able to catch her number yet but I need to make it a point to do so since she is a survivor and I want to keep her instinct in our herd. She has done that every feeding time for the last several days.
Those rascals! Go in the creep they can’t catch us there. Ha ha ha.We did find out that there is a limit to how many sheep we can bring into the holding stall. We brought as many as we could this morning but 4 of the lambs decided to stay out by the creep feeder and did not get their shots.
They have no fear when they are coming in for feed. 50 pound Lance doesn't have a lot of edge on a thousand pounds of sheep coming in to eat.Don’t you have a dog that works sheep? Lance?
