We finished up the shots this morning for all of the lambs except Shadow the bottle lamb. We will get him today so that we can be ready to band him when Teresa gets back from visiting the daughter out in Reno. The other two kids will arrive a day later so they can all have about a week to visit together.

They have no fear when they are coming in for feed. 50 pound Lance doesn't have a lot of edge on a thousand pounds of sheep coming in to eat.
Since he will be behind them driving in the hold outs, he doesn't have to get in front of them. Or did you mean to keep them out instead of using the hose?

Same thing here. It was tough for Obi all of 60-ish lbs to keep them out or push them out so I could put feed out. Now I use Obi and Zo -- much easier, though still not a cake walk --- Lance wants a work buddy! ;)

It has been a constant light rain this morning and the sheep are not in a hurry to go out and graze.

We have one ewe that has been really good at carrying a parasite load up until this year. We had the same happen a couple of years ago with a ewe that was really hardy and we got the same meds. I need to talk to the vet to see exactly what it is but it works. You have to give the med for 4 days which could be difficult depending how you are with your animals but this is for Pepper, who I can worm standing in the middle of a field. We have been hitting most of the ewes that had triplets with some power punch and iron and they are holding their own and getting more back to normal.

My big red ewe that had triplets, then had a slight discharge and I gave her lutalyse and antibiotics. I gave her Nutridrench and she loves that stuff. Before I knew it, she bit off the pump top! I ran my hand in her mouth and dug it out of her throat right before she swallowed it.
