He is friendly and calm too. We’ll see how he matures. I have a feeling the 18 month mark when the jerk shows up in rams, is gonna have to go look somewhere else.

Of course I wasn't there when they got him but the farm that we got Ringo from said that he was completely tame when he got there. I never did anything to make him comfortable but he was loving literally from the day we got him here. This is a great place to input my favorite picture again.

There was a lot less water that needed to be hauled today since we had some rain but still not nearly as much rain as we need. I saw on the weather yesterday that we are over 8 inches behind the normal for this year.
We are having a hard time figuring out the lambing schedule since the ewes that are due are a month later than we had expected. Not that it matters since I still love walking among the ewes. I have started giving them some feed since the grass that I am cutting for them doesn't have near the nutrition of earlier cut hay and we still aren't bringing hay in. They are thriving and that's about all I can expect. There are several ewes that I can't imagine going more than another week.

We have had a few quiet days but the weather has been beautiful. We are heading into our normal cold season that should start in the next few days. Right now we have a weather front over us that is giving us a little rain with some thunder storms through the night so hopefully we can get something moist rather than just noise.
We have a few ewes dropping milk and showing signs that they should be lambing any time now but I have no idea how they are so late from what we expected.
I'm really pleased in how Oshi has gotten used to having the dogs being in with him and in turn, he seems to enjoy being handled. He will come running if I go in a paddock with the brush in my hand. He has not been around dogs until now but I guess seeing them in adjacent pastures made him comfortable enough that he felt comfortable. Maisy doesn't tolerate a lot so she made sure that he kept his distance when I was in with them.
