The feed I buy finally leveled off at $14 a 50# bag. It jumped $5 a bag over the past Bidenomics time.

We were paying $8.50 a bag two years ago and it appears to have leveled off now at $12.25

We just finished watching the movie "A Million Miles Away" that we really enjoyed watching. It's based on a true story that is centered on a Hispanic gent that served on the shuttle Discovery as a flight engineer. What makes it really interesting is his personal history - he and his family worked as migrant laborers when he was a child and what it took him doing to get into space.

I was giving a rolled Barleycorn at $5/bag but stopped because the sheep didn't need it on alfalfa. I didn't even supplement during the spring when they were just eating the forage. I will have to supplement in Texas. I need to do soil checks on pastures, and also do protein analysis on the hay I bought in Yantis. Some rolls are from my property, others from closer to the Lake about 3-5 miles south.

I will check out the mill where Bay bought her feed, and the Co-op also had its own brand. I will check both for protein and mineral content vs price. Both places are in Sulphur Springs.

Our weather has been so nice the last few days that we took the covers off of the one garden bed we still have active. We picked a big bunch of Kale this morning and the sheep feasted on the older leaves and stems that I gave them.

I forgot to post a picture to show that we really did get some. Although, that isn't as important to me since I can't stand this stuff. I even have to go outside when Teresa is cooking it.

It's a taste of it's own. I love kale & collards. Yeah, a special smell. But I like liver, too. Our taste buds differ.

I love liver but not much on the greens... still, nice crop for this time of year.

Kale is ok if sneaked into a salad……
