The high for today is right about now at 16. The main roads are mostly clear but the side roads where we live is a solid sheet of ice. I had to go out a bit ago since I need diesel for the torpedo heater in the shop. We only set it at 40 but that keeps our canned goods and all of the other liquids from freezing. I set all of the water jugs in front of the heater so it thaws out the troughs down there when I add water.

We watched the last episode of Reacher Season 2 and it was as good as all of the rest. I have been a fan of Lee Child's books for a lot of years and the series did a great job of portraying what he wrote.
We just finished it as well. And Reacher looked like Reacher (not Tom Cruise as in the movie? pervious series?). Hope there's a season 3.

The country water system has completely ran out of water now. Literally, not a drop is coming out but we keep enough water on hand that we are good to go. We have all of the drinking water that we need and I have plenty of well water to use for flushing. The water started slowing down a couple of days before the weather turned really cold so there was plenty of time to prep if you had not already done it. I know that most of our neighbors stay prepared but our immediate neighbor wasn't paying attention and they were out of water. We offered to share ours and we can take care of that in the morning.

Wow, people don’t realize that dripping all the faucets drains the water supply tanks.

When power goes off here, so does the water. They send out the maintenance guy to crank up a generator. In the Snowmeggdon of February 2021, this area had no water, no power for two weeks.
