Beats some of the alternatives... sitting in a chair in a nursing home with a blanket over our legs talking about the good old days, or pushing up daisies.....Better to do than to not do... even if it takes a little longer or some creativity to achieve the desired result... Plus we have a great group here to listen to us "vent"......and laugh at the "goofs", and make suggestions...AND celebrate the positives....

I crawl around until I find something to push up off.

I've done that.

I get up on my hands and knees, then push my hands against my thighs, "walk" them up my legs to get upright.

Like @farmerjan said - beats a pine box! < fell down laughing and can't get up now!

While working on the new hoop coop door I decided to sit on a cement ("cinder") block. It was lower than I realized, and after coming down with a thump I laughed, and said out loud "There's no way you're getting up without rolling off!" And that's what I did.

It was about as beautiful outside today as it can get and we enjoyed it. The neighbor called early this morning and said that one of your white dogs is out and it turned out that it was Maisy. It's no big deal since she won't go anywhere but if she can get out, other critters can get in, so we went looking for the opening.

We found a likely spot by a drain pipe that goes under our driveway plus it had a lot of erosion on the pasture side. We had a bunch of rebar that we drove in to close up the opening and we will add wire to it tomorrow.
