Road trip? Take a vacation, see nephew, meet our friend here, come home with the best pork you will ever taste. Sight see along the way, have a good time. Pack meat in coolers, top with dry ice and make a beeline home. Sounds like fun!

If one played it right, when I start butchering in the fall/winter they can wait till temperatures plummet and only use half the ice. At 1400 miles to San Diego, I can do that in 16 hours.

I used multiple buckets. Basically you want to use it within 3-6 days. It will start to sprout, no worries, the pigs love sprouted corn too. You will get your system figured out.

It’s much cooler there than it is here, so that will slow down the fermentation process and it will stay “good” longer.
