My husband would never let anyone shoot an animal on our property. He would, however, do it for them. He doesn't trust anyone to do it the right way. Also, say they shoot the animal and it doesn't go down but attacks them, they could sue us for damages... Just not a good plan.

I'm not worried about the young goats or lambs attacking anyone, pigs yes i would be.

Personally? I don't want anyone on my property, armed, for ANY reason unless it's family/friends that I've known for quite a long time. Having an armed individual on my property that I don't know and have never met would NOT be accepted and would NOT be a good thing, under virtually all circumstances. Justsayin

Not really possible to not have armed people on your property here. I live in a community of farmers who have farmed their entire lives and thier parents before them and theirs before them etc. It is ingrained in farmers here to have a firearm of some fashion in their vehicles along with ammo, everyone also carries around knives. It's just what you do here. You never know when you will have an emergency situation where you will need to free an animal or put an animal or a predator down and not have time to run back to the house and get a gun or a knife. We also have a large population of hunters and they leave their hunting gear in their trucks during hunting season's. Texas has open carry last i knew so i would assume you have a lot of people toting around guns down there too. When my mom's friend lived down in Texas her, her husband and her son carried...of course they ran a cattle ranch.

Well I'm not going to search them, lol. people here carry a lot too. I guess I would prefer them not using it more than anything. We have open carry too but few actually do it.
