ALL I'm hearing at work today is discussions about the weather.
What's the Christmas forecast in your area of VA?

Cold.
The low for Christmas is 9F

Dec 22-25...below 30 days, 11-15 nights. #@$#!!!

Heated tubs will be out, tested and filled this week! Extension cords, too.

Might buy float heaters for 2 large tubs already in field.

I would think that something battery powered would need replacement nearly every day.. Creating heat all night long would likely draw a LOT of energy.
Maybe something solar??? It would at least thaw it once the sun is up??

40's this week, 20's nights... then 30 and 15 on Thursday... then 20 and 5 for Friday, Sat, and Sunday . Possible snow too... might not be going any further than the chickens for Christmas holidays....
