And it looks like a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bun I'll post pics as soon asI can get the camera away from hubby. He's busy snapping pics of the new arrival. We've been gone all day picking up new chickens and came home to the baby. Mama and baby seem to be doing well.

I do have one question, baby is walking around, but he seems a little wobbly on his back legs. Is this normal, this is our first cria?

Thanks, Sonja

This is usually normal for the first day or so. Check her conformation and look at the back legs while she is standing. Crias don't always have good posture either but check for hockey legs. Most likely she is just fine. Good luck with her, they are so fun and sweet. Do post pictures.

Here are a few pics of baby Kuzco!!

I think this as the first time he stood. We found him lying on his side trying to get up. Mom delivered the placenta about 45 minutes or so later.

Sonja - Congrats! I just knew she was pregnant. :D

What an adorable little boy... I love his coloring. It often takes a cria a day or so to really figure out how those long legs work. He'll keep trying and take a few face plants while learning... that's normal. In a couple of days he'll be tearing around kicking up his heels.

Thank you! He's walking better this morning and even trying to run :D. He's taken a few headers already and is even wandering a bit from mom. Mom and big sister are VERY protective of the new angel. I've been sending the kids out to pet him. Our other 2 llamas don't like to be touched, so I'm going to make sure that Kuzco gets man handled a lot!

The coolest thing is that Kuzco and his sister Charlotte are biological siblings. They have the same dad :D.
