Will these work for banding a goat?

We are getting two 2 month old goats, one is a male so we want to band him. Will these calf elastics work? They seem to be the same size as the ones I can find online, they measure 6mm on the inside.

Yep. Same. Just be sure you get two through before you release it.

Make sure that you get both testicles through and try to feel for the urethra tube. You don't want that caught in the band. Check frequently to make sure they pee. If they don't pee for several hours clip the band and reband. You might have caught the urethra inside the band.

Are they on bottles? We used to give a bottle immediately after because after drinking they would pee and we could check the band.
