My neighbor put two windows in the goat house. They put chicken wire or some kind of mess on the inside. The goats like to climb up to look out but haven't done any damages.

Yes, I have glass windows and yes my buck get hurt breaking it. I still am not sure how it did it because I thought it was high enough that he couldn't reach but I came out to the boys' love shack to shards of glass and a bloody head. We have since made wooden frames stretched with fence wire and mounted them over the windows so that they still have natural lighting but can't bust through them.

Glass block used here. No problem whatsoever.

My windows are covered in "expanded metal" panels purchased at a big box store. They are course mesh-like sheets of metal and quite sturdy; never a problem.

At one of those box store home improvement centers. I believe they were $40 or thereabout. Cheaper if you didn't want the opening in the middle with the screen.

We have one big window but it's not in the stall area so no danger of goats breaking it.
