She may have a great udder also, just a bad teat . She could be a great goat...never know. They all need a home. See how she milks when she kids. May or may not throw kids with same issue.
Yea we’re giving her the chance to kid, my sister wants to see her money come back into her account immediately, the only way she sees that happening is if she sells mom. I don’t think she understands that when you are starting with an animal you ma have to invest pretty heavily the first year or two before making a profit. I got lucky and got three free does and a buck traded for 7 hens, PLUS Josephine got bred the first week I had the goats, olive was bred soon after (what can I say, Enzo does his job well!)Back when I showed pygmy goats they called that a "fused" teat. Different breed organizations and different people call it different names.
Agree with @Mini Horses - she may never pass it on. I'd sure give her a chance.
No, she doesn’t understand a lot about goats, I’m having to coach her through everything. I studied everything that had to do with ruminants for 3 YEARS before even looking for goats for sale, she jumped right in with no knowledge at all but I don’t mind teaching her if she’s a willing learner. Here’s the new Lamanchas hooves before trimming, this time I took @Ridgetop advice and cut straight across the tips as well as trimming the side walls. I’ll get some pics of after trimming when I canDoes sister realize baby will need bottle fed if mom sells? And price for supplements are expensive plus kids don't do as well? Maybe she'll have bucklings...she can sell those as bottle babes.
