Yay! Thanks! I need to figure out what I'm going to do with them too lol. Might just try dehydrating them and then I can decide later.

    Coffee anyone ?

It's cloudy today here too, still warm but not roasting like it was last week. Had to get up early for Dr appointment, the Dr is happy with munchkin's heartbeat and growth, only 4-8 more weeks! I'm starting to get more excited and nervous.

My hubby likes hamburger helper, is somehow very convinced that I love it. I don't. We didn't eat it growing up (he did) and it just doesn't look or taste appetizing to me. He still insists on making it and that I love it. I have cooked Mac n cheese several times, and cut up a few cooked hot...

The elderberry berries are turning blue? Not sure what variety I have, I ordered cuttings of several and only this one survived. How do I know when I should pick them?

Hubby fixed the floor in the bathroom on Sunday, it had a weak spot we had been stepping around since we moved in, where the subfloor was broken or cut or something. He finally cut it out and put good subfloor/plywood in. Penny the cat in picture for scale. It's so weird to step in that area and...

Got more plants in the ground over the weekend, and hubby helped fix the structure. Which the neighbor can see through her main window so she asked if can be moved. So now we are going to take it down, maybe to use by the pool zone? And I think we can rustle up at least one hog panel for the...

Not really, but thank you for saying so. At least with them in the ground there's a chance they might actually fruit. I started putting the structure up for the beans to be able to climb and somehow it's missing two legs. Plus I couldn't get it attached in the middle so it's very wonky looking...

Had a crappy day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Got some plants repotted tonight, not sure how the two loquats are going to do, they didn't come out with a lot of dirt, their soil was saturated and very sandy. Plus at some point today after I watered this morning, a deer got in and went on...

    Coffee anyone ?

Great to hear from you @Jesusfreak101 ! Sorry you had to give up coffee, but it's just temporary. I had to decrease my soda, I miss Dr pepper but it's probably healthier for me overall. What kind of breakfast casserole are you making? I've been doing egg bites for easy grab and go breakfast...

I've heard sauteing them in bacon grease is really good, but then again, most things sauteed in bacon grease taste good lol.

Sprayed the deer stuff again around the perimeter of the new garden Tuesday night. Man that stuff stinks. I can't tell if I actually got it on me or my brain is just playing tricks on me; might have gotten on my sweatshirt? I didn't water Tuesday so need to water this morning. Really need to get...

You could probably roast the beets and then mash them? I did a tasty mashed "potatoes" using potatoes, turnips and rutabaga. It had pretty color and tasted better than just plain potatoes.

I planted black beans in the gaps for those two rows, hopefully they will grow quickly and not be too far behind. I used a whole packet of pinto beans and it barely filled the gaps in one row, there's less in the packet than the black beans I guess. I filled in the rest of the pinto beans row...

Yep, although it helped I didn't want to spend much. Plus they didn't have too many patterns that seemed like good skirts. There was a pretty sunflower patterned one (gold and red) I toyed with the idea of getting, but I would have needed at least two solids in complimentary colors to tone...

Had a nice visit with my mom Saterday and we went to Joann's to buy some fabric. I got some for making pillowcases for Christmas presents and two new pillowcases for me. I found a cute print in a cheerful yellow with black and white chickens on it. The other print is a flannel with multiple...

No squirrels caught today. The bricks and rocks are a pain to put in and take out. I think it'll be easier if I cut some 2*4 to fit into the feeders instead. Have to get hubby to set up the saw.

Squirrels didn't get to the feed last night, but still tried to poop in it for at least 5 feeders. I thought I had figured out the right amount of feed for the rabbits, turns out it was the amount for rabbit+squirrel theft, I think I can decrease their feed amount again. Now I'm wondering how...

I moved the trap near the rabbit zone and put rabbit feed in and around it. Then I put a brick in each feeder so it would be very difficult to reach the feed. Maybe this will give the squirrels more incentive to go in the trap. I am not looking forward to trying to get the bricks out tomorrow...

We have motion lights, the deer don't care. I think the water sprayer is working but hubby needs another one for better coverage of his corn. I'll get a picture of it today. I got one squirrel last night. I'm trying to figure out where I can set up the trap in a different spot and get the rest...
