I think its coccidia and a worm load as well. I would go to the vets Monday am and pick up some Albon for coccidia. Personally I would treat all for 5-7 days and give the barn a good cleaning. Good luck.
I would give them all some probiotics after the Albon treatment, as well as a vitamin...
I 2nd that. I would wait to see what your up against it can screw up the proper load amounts to if you worm her now. If you go in today or Monday...just wait for results. IMO. Good luck. In the meantime I would make sure there is plenty of fresh water available for her so dehydration is'ant...
Flour, baking soda, corn starch...even cob webs from the corners of the barn work. The point is for "blood stop" products is it should be somewhat clean to keep infection down...and something that can keep the blood pooled on the site so the blood stays on the source of the injury so the...
Thats great that you were able to get that!!! Free!! Amazing..not much is free anymore!! :) Ive never fed wheat but I would be curious to know how they do!
I agree. Good luck. I have two bucklings that have scurs...and I am taking them to the vets next Monday to get reburned and scur removal surgically, but they are going under anestesia for it...they are 12 wks and it is very rough on them. :( I hate scurs !!!! :somad We never get em here cuz...
Im glad you found some. :thumbsup
I was just in TSC, NH the other day and they had a couple bottles on the shelf as well. I always have one on hand but I did buy another bottle because of all the hub bub about it being back ordered everywhere.
FYI Molasses is not an acid...it is listed having alkaling properties. Ive have posted this not be combative but moreover to be informative to others who may be viewing this post. Baking soda, molasses and water mixtures are used very often to begin treatment for bloating in goats. I...
I could'nt agree more Elevan...and Im and done commenting on this post. It seems more important to be right and split hairs about statements made and retracted and changed than the actual health and life of the goats. So I choose not to participate in this any longer...cuz in the end...the...
I HIGHLY RECOMEND YOU READ THIS INFORMATION. YOU ARE CAUSING HARM TO YOUR ANIMALS BY TAKING OFFENSE AND NOT LISTENING TO SOUND, VALID INFORMATION!!

EVERYTHING YOU ARE DISPUTING IS CLEARLY STATED HERE AS CAUSES OF BLOAT. Feeding practices is what ABSOLUTLEY...
Im sorry you lost her...but I have to agree with everyone else here on the feeding practices that caused the bloat and absolutley not the ivomectin. As in a prior post you explained that the produce will be somewhat varied from week to week. And just a slight change like that can absolutley...
Hillsvale - Totally understand and agree with your point on "on line" treatment of your herd. Its not very responsible to treat your goats thru on line support only. But I want to let you know...I have gotten more education from the goat farmers in my area, practical experience and people on...
That one I have a hardtime chuckling at...Id be mad as heck!!! :somad All I can say is shake the grain buckets NOW!!!! Uggghhh...Poor farmer hope they got em all back!
The new vet is very knowledgeable about goats. Which makes me feel better about him already! He came out to us to see what he was up against with the scurs and he did mention something about removing some skin to get better access to the growth and cells left. So hopefully this guys got a good...
