Is it just winter hair or more?

Is there extra, thicker hair making the tag tight? He gets shaved for show but, that close to his tag? That can be enough to make it tighter.

Either tag super tight when applied or the ear tissue, or winter thicker hair has increased. Is there blood, etc? Just like collars on animals who grow a thick undercoat...it takes up space. His ears look fuzzy in last pic.

No I don’t shave that close to the tags. He also dosnt have much hair at all under the tag. I haven’t noticed him getting a thinker coat for the nonexistent winter here. There is blood when I move it and usually always a crusty ring of blood around it. I thought it was normal because that’s what happens to people when they don’t move their earrings after getting them pierced. Do you think it’s fine as long as I keep up with the anti bacterial wound spray?

This close to show and sale time, I think I would just keep it treated to keep infection away.

Yes, our noses do accommodate the offensive smells as just part of farming....not that we don't smell it.

During the big barn cleanup, Eva came into the stall several times apparently JUST to drop a big'ol pie.
My ears would notice it because it's one more I've got to shovel out of there, my friend would grimace, roll her eyes and go outside to un-nail some boards for a while!

Is this spray fine. I already have it and I don’t want to buy to much more for home since fair is so close.
