It’s purple, I wouldn’t use it. Peroxide would do it and leave no stain. Cheap too.

I've used (don't laugh) Bactine on my dogs and it works great. Quick too. I can't say about sheep though. I do know that it kept a petri dish test clean.

Been using it since I was a kid. It always works!! When our son was young and in grade school we did petri dishes that we swiped with like the bottom of a shoe --- the only dish that remained clear was the one we used bactine on. Hydrogen peroxide and triple antibiotic had stuff growing on it. I've used it on people and dogs - works like a charm.

OH LAWD!!! I remember bracing for the sting and then blowing on it till I nearly hyperventilated!!! Between that stuff and mecuricome (sp?) there's no wonder why our generation never whined to our parents about getting hurt while playing!!!
