I am glad it worked out aart.
I would have been pretty freaked out finding a pipped stuck to the Turner!

Did the little one make it the rest of the way out?

Introverts social connections often happen online....now we're missing the interactions.
This too shall pass.....might pass like a large kidney stone, but it'll pass.

Had a hatching horror last night...worked out ok after an assertive assist tho.
Now have one more pip....they should really start pipping tomorrow.
I read that, it made it? I couldn't find your update. I helped an egg a time or two, but I have also helped too soon, last year I had to leave one sitting in the egg after I tried to help and it hadn't finish absorbing the yolk and was bloody like yours.

It is both exciting and nerve wracking.

How long is this update taking, obviously longer than the projected 3 days I see some have said.

Yep, it made it. Hard to find updates in that thread, has turned into a chatfest.

I helped some more after veins had receded.
Added some coconut oil, broke some shell away, cut some membrane.
It got out by itself, but shell/membrane/chick all stuck together in a couple places so had to cut that off.
Chick is in good shape tho, abdomen closed, no more bleeding...dried gunk, oil, and some membrane still stuck. It will probably need some more cleaning up when I move it to brooder.
Today is day 21, only one other pip that I can see....wish they'd step it up!

That's great to hear, my internet has been out all day. There is lots of chatting going on, too much to keep up on. I will take all your updates on how it's going if you want to share. I am following you, but I really don't know where you are at, so what good is following someone.:hu

Okay...so following people ....
If you click on your name up in the right corner, you will see "news feed" on that list. If you click on the newsfeed, it lists all the posts of the people you are following.

But I guess I'd have to leave that open on a second window to pop over there and look?
