Hi,

I've recently been told that Netherland dwarfs (not even just the true dwarf x true dwarf) are hard to breed.

As a result I am keeping a baby back from my mix breed (not my Netherland) for breeding.

Is there any other breeds that are hard to breed for first time breeders?

Hollands can be stubborn, but typically do well once bred. Angoras are hard to breed and raise, but other than that most breeds are pretty easy!
Netherlands aren’t very hard to breed in my experience, but I disliked them because of they’re mean attitudes.

thank you,
unfortunately, I have no rabbits anymore.
My three adult rabbits and four babies died of RHD.

Sorry to hear that. What state are you in?
quite bad, it was a few months ago.

there was nothing I could do, my parents don't vaccinate pets.

I've got a Guinea pig now (toffee). They don't get the disease.

I had a surprise baby guinea pig too. The woman I bought Toffee from, must have not separated her from her brothers.

I bought Toffee at 9 weeks old, she's about 3 months now.

Thankfully the mum and baby are fine. Baby's 2 days old now.
she's a tortie teddy like her mum.

I'm going to try and get a smooth coat boar for Toffee next year.
I miss the soft bunnies, my current guinea is quite rough textured.
a smooth guinea is not as soft but still nice.

I'll try and get a tortie and white or a black / choc/ lilac.
then I'll have tortie and white or black respectively. The other colours would make golden agouti when paired to her. Not a fan of golden agouti.
