This has been discussed several times on this forum. It is the last phase of the mandate for all drugs to be by vet prescription. I am not sure what thread it is in... maybe someone can help with finding it. If you go on the PBS vet supply website, there is a whole list of everything that will be under the restrictions. I think @frustratedearthmother may have posted the link to the vet supply. They have a good list. Basically is will be just about all the OTC drugs that you can now get at the farm supply store or TSC.... even Today mastitis medicine will be restricted.

And even worse when I can't find a vet that will do sheep here. Sadly I'll probably have to ask friends that are vets to get those things. It's not a line I like to cross because I feel like I'm taking advantage of them.
No you are not taking advantage of them. They have a business, you but products. You are not crossing a line, it is a business transaction.

My niece flatly refused to buy any prescription items for me years ago. She has since left vet practice and works for a pet food company as a researcher. At the time had more experience with vet meds than she did! LOL

If your vet friends will give you a open prescription for what you need, you can file it with Valley Vet, Jeffers, Chewy, and any other supplier and obtain your prescription livestock drugs that way. Be sure you know the dosages and when to use the meds.

Otherwise buy what you can now. Atwoods has a limit of 2 on antibiotics. I will buy more before returning to CA, including the mastitis tubes. BTW, those tubes are very useful (off label) for medicating puncture wounds since you can get the stuff deep into the puncture.

So far my searching for LA-200 all are out of stock - or CA requires and Rx. :hu
