I personally wouldn't get a dump truck back there for at least two weeks, that's a dump it in the driveway and take the tractor scoop by scoop back there. As for gnats, lime spread around helps.

Another way and same applies to flies to keep them out of your face is to not wipe for a few days and cut a hole in the backside of your pants.

Going to the Sheriff’s Breakfast this morning. I need some milk , buttermilk and canned evaporated milk for the bottle lambs. Only a couple more weeks then I’ll wean them. Gonna leave my car at the church, we are going to flood again and I don’t want to be stuck here for days again. Bennett has lived on this road his whole life and it has never been like this. Car is too low slung to clear the road, diesel truck is not 4WD and can’t go through the mud.

Look at the bright side, your car hasn't been submerged in water. Sounds as if you need a Subaru down there.
