Power company showed up, 2 guys in raincoats, but still wet. I have power now. Only 2 hours and 40 minutes. That’s pretty darn good. It’s still blowing rain. Houston news is following a possible tornado east of Houston.
I’m so glad my car is at the church. The road is going to be even worse. Not to mention all the other roads the county is struggling to repair are going to be worse.
Bennett has lived on this road his entire life, 67 years. He has NEVER seen it this bad. There are places in Trinity county that are STILL flooded, this rain is only going to make more misery. The Dallas area is getting hammered and it comes downriver to Southeast Texas, adding to all the rain we are getting.
I am ok. My farm may get mushy, but I’m not going to flood. The road is crap, but I have my Kawasaki mule that I can drive to my car.
If Southeast Texas gets hit with a hurricane, on top of what we already have, it will be devastating.
Saturday is going to be sunny, through the next Saturday. We sure need it.

El Niño year, very unlikely though I heard LA Niña is coming and will be in full effect by August. That's where all this rain is from, El Niño.

Rain has stopped, down to a drizzle. Roads are flooded in Trinity County and all over Southeast Texas.

Hey baymule I got a nice place up north for ya 9 acres won't ever flood and only have to buy hay a couple of months a year. And all your neighbors sell hay cause we always have more than we need. Why don't u move north to were the pastures are greener well maybe I should say where the pastures are green not brown or drowned. It's beautiful up here for farm life

This storm was called a Derecho and it started in Austin, went 1,050 miles to the east side of Florida. There were 2 confirmed tornadoes. 7 people in Houston were killed in the storm.
