I’m in the mood to cook. I’ve planned this cooking spree. I bought the vegetables and thawed out a pound of lamb burger.

Lamb Bacon Bites. A strip of bacon cut in thirds, wrapped around a spoon of lamb burger. Baked at 330F for 50 minutes.

Minced fresh ginger and fresh garlic, plus a half teaspoon of red pepper

Sweated in 2 teaspoons of oil until fragrant

Recipe didn’t call for t, but I added a half of orange zest and juice. Just because.

1head of broccoli, 6 mushrooms and 1 half of a red bell pepper for the veggies

I made the Mongolian Sauce, cooked a pot of rice, sautéed the vegetables and assembled 4 meals for the freezer. I topped them with chopped green onions.

Labeled and into the freezer. Time: 2 hours. Now for lunch!

More outside work today. This little Pallet Palace was a mud hole this past winter and spring. It started raining in January and rain d for 6 months. I’ve already done dirt work on several of the shelters, making a dirt pad higher than the rest of the pen. Hopefully raising the level will help keep their shelters dry this winter.

So here’s this pen with a Pallet Palace and no way to get in the pen with my tractor. So I swung around in the driveway and dumped 3 bucket loads over the fence. Then I had to shovel the dirt into the shelter, stooping over, half crawling in it, and slinging a shovel of dirt to the back of it.

The ewe lambs of course, were delighted.

Pawing the dirt, were they helping me spread it?

Did they HAVE to go in their Pallet Palace while I’m trying to throw dirt in there?

Done!
