I left before daylight this morning, went to feed store. Got a super bag of 966 pounds. Carson got a treat from his friend at the feed store and was happy. Came home, did all my morning chores Cornish Cross take a lot of work!

I scooped feed into 5 gallon buckets, then dumped into metal trash cans.

I came in, had 4 pounds of deboned chicken in the refrigerator, got it out and ground it up. I made two seasonings, both are good. Got 4 packages made for my son ol law.

Sitting down with glass of lemonade.

I have some bodacious thistles. I hate them. Mowing does no good, they just come back. Last year I cut the blooms and seed heads off, bagged and threw away. This year I’m digging them up and spraying the roots.
I’m using a formula,

1 gallon white vinegar
1 1/2 cups salt
2 tablespoons Dawn dishwashing liquid

We’ll see how it works.

So now, what do I do with the awful things?

I only did a small part of the field yesterday, there’s plenty more out there.

It must be only Texas donkeys that eat thistles. I've had two and they never touched them. But when they are they least attractive things in an Ohio pasture vrs the most attractive things in a Texas pasture to eat I understand. I've seen some Texas pasture where I would beg for a good thistle to eat. But then again that pastures are always greener up North
