The other thing I noticed was that her tap roots were a lot shorter than the tap roots I pull up with my weeding tool. It’s kind of like a personal triumph to me when I pull up a dandelion and the whole tap root comes out in one piece!

Hers looked like she was breaking the tap root off shortly past the main root clump. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Still, overall that would be a nice tool to have to avoid having to kneel down. We have a lot of clay here too, but I only weed in the garden beds, which I’ve managed to improve for the most part over the last 21 years. (Improve the soil that is. The abundant weeds love it!)

Here's a root I dug up:

I don't think her tool would work on it.

The root below the long one is a trumpet vine, which continue to pop up all over the yard. I hate those things!

Raining here, all day. Got 2” Sunday. It will pour down, then drizzle. I butchered 22 chickens Monday, started processing yesterday, got 6 done and ran out of bags. Had to go to town and get more. Started over this morning. Got 2 left and I’ll be done. Still have to package up necks, liver, gizzards, clean up mess. Been playing 70’s rock and roll, great music!

Switched browsers.

Epic works fine with BYC, weird.

Firefox is allowing ads.

So I am using Brave.

Root picture is now posted ⬆️⬆️⬆️
Why on earth are you getting ads? You wound up with the "Golden Herd Member" status. You should be ad free. I thought that was part of the deal? That's really weird.
(I paid for it too because BYC is a form I'm on a lot, but didn't get the banner, but if it doesn't mean I get to be ad free anymore, I don't think I mind not getting it)

Right. I think something with BYH changed because I am not having issues with their sister site, BYC. For now I am using Brave, which I don't like as well.
