Ok, so yesterday afternoon I fed him just like normal. I put the feed in 2 pans (one for him, one for lamb) and they both gobbled it up. And whatta ya know, he "blowed up" 
again. Just like I suspected, he must be in such a rush to beat her to the grain that he's snarfing up air or something.
Really now I'm not too worried about it. It does go down after a little while and it doesn't seem to bother him.
